Trix is a fruit-flavored, sweetened breakfast cereal of ground corn pieces made by General Mills for the North American market since May 1, 1954, with Cereal Partners distributing an international version under the Nestle brand. The original formula contained more than 46 percent sugar and came in three colors, orange, yellow and raspberry red, with more fruit flavors and colors added over the following decades. General Mills removed artificial colors from the cereal in 2015, reducing it to four colors, then reintroduced the six-color version with artificial dyes in 2017 after complaints from consumers; the cereal has carried the Silly Rabbit mascot and the tagline Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids since 1959, and the Trix name is also used on a line of children's yogurt products.
