Scotch is a brand name used for pressure sensitive tape and related products developed by 3M. It was first introduced by Richard Drew, who created the brand's initial masking tape, and the invention of Scotch brand tape expanded into further applications, including sealing packages and household or industrial repairs. Scotch tapes have gone on to be used widely in both households and industry.
