Rice Krispies is a breakfast cereal made from crisped rice, introduced in 1928 and known for the snap, crackle and pop sounds it produces when milk is added, illustrated since 1933 by elf mascots of the same names. Sold as Rice Bubbles in Australia and New Zealand, the cereal is made from rice, sugar, salt, malt flavoring and added vitamins and minerals. Since a 2023 corporate spinoff the brand is produced by WK Kellogg Co for North America and the Caribbean and by Kellanova for the rest of the world.
