Paramount+ is an American subscription video on demand streaming service owned by Paramount Skydance, drawing its programming from Paramount owned properties such as CBS, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, BET, the Smithsonian Channel, Showtime and Paramount Pictures, alongside original series and films and live sports coverage. It began as CBS All Access, launched by CBS Corporation on October 28, 2014 to stream CBS programming and library content, before expanding into original programming in 2016 and taking its current name. It is one of the ten most subscribed streaming services in the world, with 79 million paid memberships.
