GeForce is a brand of graphics processing units designed by Nvidia for the performance computing market, manufactured by Nvidia's partners including Samsung Electronics and TSMC. The line debuted on August 31, 1999 with the GeForce 256, and it is used for PC gaming, general purpose computing, and increasingly artificial intelligence and machine learning work through Nvidia's CUDA platform. Nvidia reported more than 200 million GeForce gamers as of August 2017.
