Kellogg's Corn Flakes is a breakfast cereal created by Will Keith Kellogg and his brother John Harvey Kellogg at the Battle Creek Sanitarium in Michigan, patented in 1896 and sold commercially from 1906 under the Kellogg Company Will Kellogg founded. It is widely regarded as one of the products that established ready-to-eat breakfast cereal as a mainstream American food category, displacing traditional cooked breakfasts in many households, and it remains one of the world's most recognized cereal brands.
