Froot Loops is a sweetened, fruit-flavored breakfast cereal made of ring-shaped, brightly colored pieces that debuted in 1963; despite the different colors, every ring carries the same flavor. The cereal originally came in red, orange and yellow loops, with green, blue and purple added in the 1990s and blue arriving last in 1996, and has been marketed since its debut by the mascot Toucan Sam. Since a 2023 corporate spinoff the brand is produced by WK Kellogg Co for North America and the Caribbean and by Kellanova for the rest of the world, and it has been extended into varieties such as Unicorn Froot Loops in 2017 and Cocoa Loops in 2025.
