The Dowelmax is a precision loose-tenon dowelling jig for woodworking, manufactured by the O.M.S. Tool Company in Canada. It allows a woodworker to place five dowels in a single pass, using an included distance gauge bar to keep dowel spacing consistent, and its aluminum, brass and steel components are machined to a tolerance of 0.026 millimetres, which the manufacturer says gives the tool accuracy and repeatability at a higher cost than typical dowelling jigs. Wood magazine tested the jig favorably in 2007 and again in 2011, when it rated the Dowelmax as the best dowelling jig it had reviewed.
