Vestron Pictures was an American film studio and distributor, a division of Austin O. Furst Jr.'s Vestron, Inc., established in 1986 and best known for its 1987 release Dirty Dancing. The studio produced and distributed films across a range of budgets, from under 2 million dollars for its Lightning Pictures genre label to 2 to 6 million dollars for mainstream releases, before ceasing operations in 1992 when its parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, with its assets subsequently acquired by LIVE Entertainment.
