Vedanta Limited is an Indian mining and metals conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai, the Indian-listed operating arm of the London-based Vedanta Resources group founded by Anil Agarwal. The company operates across zinc, aluminum, copper and iron ore mining and processing, along with oil and gas production, giving it one of the broadest natural resource portfolios of any Indian industrial group, with major operations including large zinc and lead mining complexes in the state of Rajasthan and aluminum smelting operations elsewhere in India.
