Unilever is a British multinational consumer packaged goods company headquartered in London, founded in 1930 through the merger of the Dutch margarine producer Margarine Unie with the British soap maker Lever Brothers. Its products span beauty, personal care, home care and nutrition, and it is organized around brands including Lipton, Dove, Knorr and Ben and Jerry's, built up through decades of acquisitions; it is the largest producer of soap in the world.
