Unicaja Banco, S.A., trading as Unicaja, is a Spanish financial institution based in Malaga. It was established on December 1, 2011, when the savings bank Monte de Piedad y Caja de Ahorros de Ronda, Cadiz, Almeria, Malaga, Antequera y Jaen spun off its financial operations into a separate banking entity. As of December 31, 2025, Unicaja operated about 945 branches, employed 7,281 staff and managed total assets of 98,428 million euros, making it Spain sixth largest financial institution by assets, and trades on the Madrid Stock Exchange as part of the IBEX 35 index.
