Unibroue

Unibroue is a Canadian brewery in Chambly, Quebec, started in 1993 by Serge Racine and Andre Dion to produce Belgian style beers, known for bottle conditioned brews that carry yeast sediment. The Canadian brewer Sleeman Breweries bought the company in 2004, and Sleeman was itself bought in 2006 by the Japanese brewing company Sapporo, which remains the parent of Unibroue today. Its best known products include the tripel ale La Fin du Monde, the wheat beer Blanche de Chambly and Don de Dieu, many of them named for figures and themes from the cultural heritage of Quebec, and the brewery has won numerous international awards, including medals from the Beverage Testing Institute and honors at the World Beer Awards.
