Tryg A/S

Tryg A/S is a Scandinavian general insurance company present in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, described as the largest provider of general insurance services in the Nordic countries, headquartered in Copenhagen and trading on Nasdaq Copenhagen under the ticker TRYG. It was formed in 2002 through the merger of Tryg Forsikring and Nordea's insurance division, though Tryg Forsikring's own history traces back to the founding of Kjobenhavns Brandforsikring in 1731; the company went public in October 2005 when it listed on the Copenhagen stock exchange. Beyond Scandinavia, Tryg operates across northern, central and eastern Europe and into markets including Israel, Turkey, Russia, Greece and Cyprus.
