The Transmission Company of Nigeria, known as TCN, is a federally owned electric utility established in 2005 and headquartered in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. A member of the West African Power Pool, it manages Nigeria's electricity transmission infrastructure and supplies bulk power to neighboring countries including Niger, Benin and Togo. The company was created through the unbundling of the former National Electric Power Authority to improve coordination across the electricity delivery chain.
