Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, known as ThaiBev, is Thailand's largest and one of Southeast Asia's largest beverage companies, formed on October 29, 2003 through the consolidation of 58 beer and spirits businesses. Headquartered in Bangkok and owned by billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, it makes and distributes major brands including Chang beer, Mekhong spirit and SangSom rum, with distilleries in Thailand, the United Kingdom and China. Because the Stock Exchange of Thailand does not allow alcohol related listings, the company is instead listed on the Singapore Exchange, where it carries a market capitalisation of more than 13 billion US dollars.
