Ternium S.A. is a manufacturer of flat and long steel products across Latin America and the United States, formed in 2005 through the consolidation of three steel mills, Siderar in Argentina, SIDOR in Venezuela and Hylsa in Mexico, and headquartered in Luxembourg City. It runs production facilities in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia and the United States with an annual capacity of about 15.4 million tons, and also holds a 51.5 percent stake in Brazil's Usiminas. About 79 percent of the company remains controlled by San Faustin S.A., itself controlled by the Rocca family through Rocca and Partners, while the rest trades publicly on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker TX and on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange as a MERVAL component.
