Telefonica Colombia is the largest telecommunications company in Colombia, founded on May 23, 1947 by Mariano Ospina Perez and headquartered in Bogota. It provides mobile, broadband internet, VoIP, WiMax and WiFi services across the country, and is controlled by the Spanish telecommunications firm Telefonica, which holds a 70 percent stake, with the Colombian government holding the remaining 30 percent.
