Tabacalera was a Spanish tobacco company incorporated on March 5, 1945. It was founded that year by the Francoist government as a trading company for tobacco and stamps, and was the successor to the Compania Arrendataria de Tabacos, which had managed the tobacco monopoly in Spain since 1887.
