T-Mobile US, Inc. is an American wireless network operator headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, majority owned by the German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom, tracing to earlier American wireless carriers including VoiceStream Wireless, which Deutsche Telekom acquired in 2001 and rebranded T-Mobile. It grew into one of the largest wireless carriers in the United States, particularly after its 2020 merger with rival carrier Sprint, itself a major American telecommunications company since the early 20th century.
