Swiss Life Holding is the largest life insurance company in Switzerland and one of Europe's leading providers of comprehensive life, pensions and financial services, with roughly 356.3 billion Swiss francs of assets under management. It was founded in 1857 in Zurich as the Schweizerische Lebensversicherungs- und Rentenanstalt cooperative, listed on the Swiss stock market in 1997, and adopted its current name in 2002. In 2025 the group reported an adjusted profit from operations of 1.83 billion francs and a net profit of 1.26 billion francs, and it is one of the twenty companies making up the Swiss Market Index, trading as SLHN.
