Supercell Oy is a Finnish mobile game development company based in Helsinki, founded on May 14, 2010. After its debut browser game Gunshine.net, the company shifted to mobile devices and released a string of freemium games including Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars that have made it one of the most commercially successful mobile game developers. Supercell expanded with offices in Shanghai, San Francisco and Seoul, and in 2016 Chinese conglomerate Tencent acquired an 81.4 percent stake in the company valued at 8.4 billion euros.
