Storebrand is a Norwegian financial services company whose primary activities are life insurance and pension savings, alongside significant divisions in investments, banking and property and casualty insurance. Through its 2007 acquisition of the Swedish insurer SPP from Handelsbanken, it built a substantial presence in the Swedish life insurance market. Storebrand is headquartered in Lysaker, in Baerum municipality near Oslo, is publicly traded on the Oslo Stock Exchange, and is led by chief executive Odd Arild Grefstad. The company publishes annual reports focused on socially responsible investment practices.
