The Slaghmuylder Brewery is a small brewery in Ninove, Belgium, founded in 1860 and still run by the same family. It is noted for having brewed one of the first modern tripels, a strong golden pale ale style; according to beer historian Michael Jackson the style originated in 1931 with brewer Hendrik Verlinden, who worked at the nearby Drie Linden Brewery and assisted the monks of the Trappist Westmalle Brewery before working at Slaghmuylder.
