Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken, known as SEB, is a Swedish bank headquartered in Stockholm, formed in 1972 from the merger of Stockholms Enskilda Bank, established in 1856, and Skandinaviska Banken, established in 1864. It offers banking, wealth management, life insurance and pension products, with a full service offering in Sweden and the Baltic states and a focus on corporate and investment banking elsewhere in the Nordics, Germany and the United Kingdom. The Wallenberg family, through Investor AB, is SEB's largest shareholder and controls its leadership.
