Semapa, Sociedade de Investimento e Gestao, is a Portuguese conglomerate holding company established in 1991 and headquartered in Lisbon, with interests in the cement, pulp and paper, and environmental services sectors. The company owns 76.7 percent of The Navigator Company, Europe's largest producer of bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp, holds 51 percent of the Secil Group cement manufacturer, and owns all of ETSA, a waste management firm handling animal by-products. Semapa trades on Euronext Lisbon under the ticker SEM and is part of the PSI-20 index.
