Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust is a publicly traded investment trust that invests globally in search of strong businesses with above-average returns. Founded in 1909 and headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland, it is managed by the Edinburgh-based investment partnership Baillie Gifford and Co Limited and is listed on the London Stock Exchange as a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
