Saputo Inc. is a Canadian dairy company based in Montreal, Quebec, founded in 1954 by the Saputo family. The company produces and distributes dairy products including cheese, fluid milk, and cultured products, and ranks among the top ten dairy processors in the world. It was established when Lino Saputo convinced his father Giuseppe, a master cheesemaker who had immigrated from Italy, to launch their own business with minimal startup capital. The company has since grown through numerous acquisitions and operates facilities across Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, and the United Kingdom. As of 2025 it generated approximately 19.06 billion Canadian dollars in annual revenue with roughly 19,400 employees worldwide.
