The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, known as SABIC, is a Saudi chemical manufacturing company headquartered in Riyadh, established in September 1976 and now 70 percent owned by Saudi Aramco. It produces petrochemicals, industrial polymers, specialty chemicals and fertilizers from 60 manufacturing and compounding plants in more than 40 countries, and was ranked the world's fourth largest chemical company by the Fortune Global 500 in 2017. SABIC shares trade on the Saudi Tadawul exchange, where it ranks as the second largest public company in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, and the company reported revenue of about 52.92 billion US dollars in 2022.
