Rolls-Royce North America is a subsidiary of the British aerospace company Rolls-Royce Holdings, founded in 1999 and headquartered in Reston, Virginia, employing more than seven thousand people across sixty six locations in the United States and Canada. It provides management direction and corporate support for Rolls-Royce operations in North America, including the defense-focused Rolls-Royce Corporation, formerly Allison Engine Company, and operates under a Special Security Arrangement permitting it to work on sensitive United States defense programs despite its foreign ownership.
