Rochefort Brewery is a Trappist brewery operated by the monks of Rochefort Abbey in Rochefort, Belgium, a monastery founded in the 13th century whose original brewery dates to 1595 and closed in 1794; the present brewing operation was founded in 1899 after the abbey's 1887 re-establishment. It produces four designated Trappist beers with an annual output of about 18,000 hectoliters, and profits support the monastery and regional charitable causes.
