Reinet Investments S.C.A. is a Luxembourg-based investment vehicle, chaired by Johann Rupert, created through a demerger from the Swiss luxury goods company Richemont on October 20, 2008 and listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange under the ticker REIN. At its formation Reinet controlled 350 million euros in cash, 50 million euros in miscellaneous investments, and a 4 percent stake, 84.3 million shares, in British American Tobacco, and in January 2009 it agreed to purchase Lehman Brothers' private equity business, which became Trilantic Capital Partners; it was the third-largest component of the LuxX Index in 2020. The company pursues a long-term view of investment opportunities across listed and unlisted equities, bonds, real estate, and derivatives, with an emphasis on capital preservation.
