Rastriya Samachar Samiti, meaning National News Agency, is Nepal's largest and longest serving news organization, headquartered in Kathmandu. It was formed in the early 1960s through the merger of two private news agencies to supply news to Nepal's newspapers and broadcasters, and it now serves more than one hundred subscribers across newspapers, radio, television and online outlets. The agency maintains news exchange arrangements with major international agencies including the Associated Press, Agence France Presse, Xinhua, Kyodo and the Press Trust of India.
