Radio Ozodi, officially the Radio Liberty Tajik Service, is the branch of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty that broadcasts to Tajikistan. Founded in 1953, it reports on topics that Tajik state-run media and other local outlets do not cover and works to counter Russian disinformation. Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty is funded by the United States government through the US Agency for Global Media but retains editorial independence, and as of 2019 Radio Ozodi operated the most popular Facebook and YouTube pages in Tajikistan.
