PZU, formally Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń, is Poland's largest and oldest insurance company and largest financial institution, headquartered in Warsaw and tracing its founding to 1803. It is publicly traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange as a component of the WIG30 index, offers roughly 200 insurance and financial products spanning non-life insurance, life insurance, banking, investment funds and pension funds across Central and Eastern Europe, and employed about 38,655 people as of 2025.
