Postmedia Network Canada Corp., commonly known as Postmedia, is a Canadian media conglomerate majority owned by American investors, formed from the publishing properties of the former Canwest. Its primary operations are English language newspaper publishing, news gathering and internet operations, and it is best known as the owner of the National Post and the Financial Post, operating more than 130 print and digital news titles across Canada. Roughly two thirds of the company's equity is held by the American hedge fund Chatham Asset Management, though Canadian media ownership law limits Chatham to electing only one third of the board. Postmedia's publications are known for a generally conservative editorial stance, and the company is headquartered at Postmedia Place on Bloor Street in Toronto.
