Poste Italiane is Italy's postal service provider, founded on May 5, 1862 under a postal reform law, that has grown into a broad financial and logistics company. It runs about 12,800 post offices with 120,155 employees, describing itself as the largest service distribution network in Italy, and it offers postal services, financial services, insurance, payments and mobile services. Beyond mail and parcel delivery, it manages financial products through its BancoPosta division, sells insurance through Poste Vita and Poste Assicura, runs the PosteMobile telecommunications service, and provides postal savings products and e-commerce logistics.
