P. Ballantine and Sons Brewing Company is a beer brand founded in 1845 in Newark, New Jersey. At its peak in the mid-twentieth century it was the third-largest brewer in the United States, trailing only Anheuser-Busch and Schlitz, and it is best known for its Ballantine XXX Ale; the brand is currently owned and operated by Pabst Brewing Company.
