Open Text Corporation, known as OpenText, is a global software company that develops and sells information management software, specializing in enterprise content management, business process management, and related solutions for large organizations. It is headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and was founded in 1991 by Anouar Namouh along with University of Waterloo professors Frank Tompa and Gaston Gonnet, growing out of a university project that created technology for indexing the Oxford English Dictionary. OpenText is Canada's fourth largest software company, trading publicly on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and NASDAQ under the ticker OTEX. The company employs approximately 21,400 people worldwide and generated revenue of 5.17 billion US dollars as of June 2025.
