Oettinger Brewery is a German brewery in Oettingen in Bayern, tracing to a 1731 predecessor called the Furstliche Brauhaus zu Oettingen and taking its current form after the Kollmar family purchased and renamed it in 1956. It was Germany's best-selling beer brand from 2004 to 2013, reaching an annual output of 6.21 million hectoliters in 2011, a scale it reaches through cost efficiency, avoiding advertising and using direct distribution and highly automated brewing.
