The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited is a state-owned oil corporation established in 1977 and headquartered at NNPC Towers in Abuja. Transformed into a limited liability company in July 2022, it is the only entity licensed to operate across the whole of Nigeria's petroleum industry. With assets of roughly 153 billion US dollars, it is Africa's largest national oil company, managing upstream, downstream and midstream operations through partnerships with foreign multinational corporations.
