Naver Corporation is a South Korean internet conglomerate headquartered at the Naver Green Factory in Bundang District, Seongnam, best known for operating the dominant Naver search engine. It was founded by Lee Hae jin on June 2, 1999, and was an early pioneer of user generated content through services such as its Knowledge iN question and answer platform. The company operated jointly with the gaming firm Hangame as NHN Corporation for thirteen years before splitting apart in 2013 and readopting the Naver name that October. It now oversees a group of affiliated services including Snow, Naver Labs, Naver Webtoon, Naver Cloud and Works Mobile.
