The National Brewing Company was an American brewing company founded in Baltimore, Maryland in 1885 that grew, after the Second World War, into the largest brewer in Baltimore's history, known for its one eyed mascot Mr. Boh and the slogan From the Land of Pleasant Living. Carling Brewing Company acquired the business in 1975, its original Baltimore plant closed in 1978, and production continued at a Halethorpe facility until that plant closed in 1996; since 2000 its flagship brands have been brewed by Pabst Brewing Company.
