MultiChoice is a South African media company based in Randburg, Gauteng, that operates a major satellite television service across Sub-Saharan Africa, Cape Verde, and Madagascar through its DStv brand, alongside the GOtv terrestrial platform, SuperSport sports channels, and M-Net. Founded on November 9, 1994, the company served a subscriber base of 20.1 million viewers across Africa by 2020, and in September 2025 French conglomerate Canal+ completed its acquisition of MultiChoice for approximately 2 billion dollars, after which Maxime Saada became Chairman and David Mignot became CEO. Following the Canal+ integration, MultiChoice provides approximately 10,000 hours of content per year in 20 to 35 languages.
