Mongrel Media is an independent Canadian film distribution company based in Toronto, Ontario, founded in 1994 by Hussain Amarshi. It is the exclusive Canadian theatrical distributor for Sony Pictures Classics and also handles select titles from distributors including Neon, A24, Amazon Studios, Saban Films, Searchlight Pictures and IFC Films, and it represents Quebec through a partnership with Metropole Films Distribution. In 2014 it acquired distribution rights to 300 titles from the library of StudioCanal, and in 2021 it launched its own subscription streaming service offering films from its catalogue and the Magnolia Pictures library for 6.99 dollars a month.
