The Metals and Engineering Corporation, known as METEC, is an Ethiopian state-owned enterprise founded in 2010 and headquartered in Addis Ababa. Described as the country's largest military industrial complex, it manufactures ammunition, firearms, artillery and agricultural machinery as well as automobiles and aircraft, and maintains partnerships with international firms including Alstom of France and Spire Corporation of the United States. The corporation has reported approximately 12,400 employees, revenues of 1.2 billion dollars and total assets of 2.13 billion dollars.
