Magic Hat Brewing Company is an American craft brewery brand now owned by the Costa Rican corporation Florida Ice & Farm Co, founded in South Burlington, Vermont in 1994. It became known for its flagship beer, #9, credited as an early force in introducing many Americans to craft beer during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Its original Vermont brewing facility closed in June 2020 when parent company FIFCO consolidated production in Rochester, New York, and the brand continues to sell a range of year-round and seasonal beers across the United States.
