Link Real Estate Investment Trust is a real estate investment trust managed by Link Asset Management Limited, described as the first REIT in Hong Kong and the largest in Asia by market capitalisation. Founded in 2004 after the Hong Kong Housing Authority privatized part of its property portfolio, it manages a diverse holding of retail spaces, fresh markets, offices and parking facilities, with 126 properties totalling about 9 million square feet in Hong Kong plus seven properties totalling about 6 million square feet outside the territory. The trust listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in November 2005 with an initial valuation of HK$22.02 billion and is headquartered at The Quayside in Kwun Tong, Kowloon.
