Lifco is a Swedish industrial conglomerate headquartered in Enkoping that acquires and develops market leading niche businesses, organized into segments covering dental products, demolition and tools, and other systems solutions. Its origins trace to a purchasing entity the Swedish country councils set up in 1946, and it took its present form as Lifco AB after a management and venture capital buyout in 1993, later becoming a subsidiary of Carl Bennet AB. The company operates through a decentralized model that lets its subsidiaries keep entrepreneurial independence while drawing on the resources of the wider group.
