LG Uplus is a South Korean mobile network operator owned by LG Corporation, headquartered in Yongsan District, Seoul, and established on July 11, 1996 as LG Telecom before rebranding to its current name on July 1, 2010 following a merger with two other LG telecommunications subsidiaries, Dacom and Powercom. It is South Korea's second largest wireless carrier, with about 18.4 million subscribers as of late 2023, offering mobile telephony, wireless broadband, landline, broadband internet and IPTV services; LG Corporation holds a 37 percent stake, and the company reported 13.42 trillion won in revenue in 2020.
